Welcome to Ruth Kalibbala Foundation

Our Story
From Compassion to Action
RKB Foundation was born in 2013 from a moment of compassion and courage. Ruth Kalibbala Bwanika, then a radio presenter at DEMBE FM, received a call from a listener from Kiduusu village, Lugazi district. The caller spoke of women and children in their community living in silent struggle. Young girls were missing school due to lack of basic needs, mothers had no support, and entire families were being left behind.
Our Mission
To empower women, girls and children through education, skills development, and community support.
- Promote girls' education
- Empower women economically
- Combat gender-based violence

Founder & Executive Director
Ruth didn't just listen to that plea; she took action. Her journey to Lugazi opened her eyes to the depth of hardship faced by many, especially women, and it planted the seed for what would eventually become a nationwide movement.
From the very beginning, RKB Foundation placed women and girls at the center of its mission. These were not just isolated acts of charity; they were deliberate steps toward building a more just and compassionate society.
